Scenario 4: Direct Access to the Third-Party Network by the AP/RT on the Aggregation Node
Networking
The following figure shows the network diagram in which the AP/RT on the
aggregation node directly accesses the third-party network. Packets used by the
NMS to access the device must be tagged with a management VLAN ID. The
default management VLAN ID for the PowerCube 500 and RTN 510 is 4094.
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.
Third-Party Network Configuration Principles
1. Configure a VLANIF subinterface. The IP address of the subinterface is the
gateway IP address of the RTN510 AP.
2. Disable STP for the port used by the third-party switch to connect to the RTN510.
Aggregation Node Configuration Principles
1. Configure the AP as the DHCP server.
Note: After the DHCP server is enabled, the DHCP gateway IP
address is used to access the NE.
2. Set the DHCP gateway IP address to the IP address of the VLANIF subinterface on
the third-party network.
3. If the default VLAN 4094 is occupied, modify the management VLAN ID on the
DCN management page.
RT Site Configuration Principles
1. Enable the DHCP client function on the RTN510 RT, PowerCube 500-1, and
PowerCube 500-2. The AP at the aggregation site assigns IP addresses to them.
Note: After the DHCP client is enabled, the IP address allocated by
the DHCP server is used to access the NE.
2. If the default VLAN 4094 is occupied, modify the management VLAN ID on the DCN
management page.
