connector.
Pin assignments of an RJ45 connector
•Before crimping, ensure that the core wires are fully inserted in the RJ45
connector.
•Use the crimping tool to crimp the connector with force.
•After crimping, verify that the connector has been crimped tightly.
Preparing an RSSI Test Cable
Terminate one end of an outdoor network cable with an RJ45 connector
by following instructions in "Terminating an Outdoor Network Cable with
Shielded RJ45 Connectors."
Strip the other end of the cable, remain the core wire for pin 4 (blue) and
that for pin 7 (white and brown), cut off the other core wires, and wrap
this end.

Strip the cable.
Length of the stripped
cable: 20 mm
When stripping off the outer jacket, take care not to damage the braid shield
or aluminum foil.
Cut off the exposed braid shield and materials
along the edge of the connector.

the aluminum foil and unwanted
materials.
Terminate a connector on the other end of the network cable, and then test the cable
for continuity using a network cable tester.
In addition to Ethernet services, the P&E port of the RTN 380H receives P&E signals from power
sourcing equipment. An outdoor straight-through cable is used to connect the P&E port and power
sourcing equipment.
The pin assignments of the P&E port on some Ethernet power supply equipment may be different
from those on the RTN 380H. In this case, you need to make a network cable based on the pin
assignments of the two P&E ports.
