Checking the Engine-Oil Level
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, engage the
parking brake, and lower the loader arms.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and allow
the engine to cool.
3.
Open the hood.

Clean the area around the oil dipstick

Pull out the dipstick and wipe the metal end

6.
Slide the dipstick fully into the dipstick tube
(Figure
32).
7.
Pull the dipstick out and look at the metal end.
8.
If the oil level is low (below the bottom hole),
clean around the oil-fill cap and remove the cap
(Figure
32).
9.
Slowly pour only enough oil into the valve
cover to raise the level to the upper hole on the
dipstick.
Important:
Do not overfill the crankcase
with oil to prevent damaging the engine.
10.
Replace the fill cap and dipstick.
11.
Close the hood.

2. Oil-fill cap
Changing the Engine Oil
1.
Start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes.
Note:
This warms the oil so that it drains better.
2.
Park the machine so that the drain side is slightly
lower than the opposite side to ensure that the
oil drains completely.
3.
Lower the loader arms, engage the parking
brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key.
4.
Remove the drain plug

When the oil has drained completely, replace
the plug.
Note:
Dispose of the used oil at a certified
recycling center.
6.
Remove the fill cap
approximately 80% of the specified amount of oil
in through the valve cover.
7.
Check the oil level.
8.
Slowly add additional oil to bring the level to the
upper hole on the dipstick.
9.
Replace the fill cap.
