Install the SFF (2.5-inch) drive blank in the drive bay unused.

Removing NVMe Drive

To remove the NVMe drive, follow the procedure below. In addition, when discarding or transferring the
removed NVMe drive, make sure to erase the data at your own risk in accordance with Chapter 1 (1. Relocation
and Storage) of the "Maintenance Guide."
To remove the components, follow these steps.
1.
Press the power button.
The LED of the removal prohibit button lights up and flashes. Do not press this button while the LED is
lit.
2.
When the LED of the removal prohibition button does not flash nor lights up, press the removal prohibit
button and open the release lever.
3.
Remove the drive.
Important
NEC assumes no liability for data leakage should the product be transferred
to a third party without erasing the data.
Note
Do not remove the NVMe SSD from the drive bay if the LED of the removal prohibit
button is flashing. The flashing LED of the removal prohibit button indicates that the
device is still in use. Removing the NVMeSSD before completion of the device
signal and traffic flow may result in data loss.
