Verizon MiFi 4620LE Mobile Device
The Verizon MiFi 4620LE device is activated and configured as a mobile hotspot and is ready for use.
Follow the quick steps listed below to connect and disconnect from the device You may connect a
maximum of 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices; however, we recommend a maximum of 5. Battery power and
performance speed degrade as you add more devices. NEVER leave the device in an unattended vehicle
due to uncontrollable temperatures that may be outside the acceptable temperature for this device.
Important Note: The device should be used only for ACS Business purposes. (ACS devices are on a
shared data plan; therefore, the device will not display the available data.) Test the device as soon as you
receive it to ensure you are within the service area and the device is working properly.
Connecting to the Verizon 4620LE Wireless Hotspot
Step 1: Power on the device by pressing and holding the Power Button. The LED should be slow
blinking green (4G) or violet (3G) indicating the device is in service and ready to connect.
After the initial startup screens display, the Home screen and menu options are available.
The device will work with battery or when plugged into power using the AC power adapter.
Step 2: Access your Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password.
The pre-configured network name and password are printed on a label inside the back cover
of the device, underneath the battery.
The network name appears in the format: MiFi4620LJetpackXXXX Secure, where XXXX are
four digits unique to the device.
The Wi-Fi password consists of 8 digits.
Step 3: Connect your computer/iPad to the Verizon Wireless Hotspot.
On your computer/iPad, view the Available Wireless Networks and select the Network Name
or SSID you found in the previous step. Click Connect and enter the 8-digit password.
The connected device logo will appear with the number of connected devices displayed.
Disconnecting from Verizon Wireless Hotspot and Turning off Device
Step 1: Disconnect from Wireless Connection.
Disconnect from the device using the Access Connections screen. If you are connected to
ACSVPN, disconnect from VPN first then proceed with disconnecting device. The connected
device logo should reflect the new number of connected devices.
Important: Disconnect the computer from the device before turning off or when disconnecting
cables from the power source to avoid potential problems with computer screens freezing.
Step 2: To power off device, press and hold the Power Button until the display shows MiFi
Powering Off and the LED turns yellow.
When disconnecting cables or power source, hold both the device and the end of the cable then pull
straight out to avoid damaging the connectors.
Disconnect all cables from the device and store in the container provided. Do not pack or transport the
device attached to the laptop or when powered on.
