The CLI enables interaction with a device via entered text commands.
At the CLI, instruct the device to perform a given task by entering a text command and pressing Enter to
submit it.

Log in to the device at the CLI through the console port, Telnet, or SSH.
By default, log in to a device through the console port without any authentication, which introduces
security problems.

Logging in through the console port is the most common login method, and is also the first step to
configure other login methods.
