This chapter describes how to connect external batteries and rectifiers to the OfficeServ
7400 system.

4.1 Connecting External Batteries

Caution When Connecting External Batteries
External batteries are required to ensure stable operation of the OfficeServ 7400 system in
case of a power failure. The rated capacity of an external battery is DC 48V per chassis.
Batteries should be connected to each chassis.

Connecting External
Batteries and Rectifiers
Do not connect external AC power to the system before connecting an external
battery. To do so may cause electric shocks.
Make sure that the polarities (+/-) between the external battery and the system
are equal.
