Cleaning the Engine Screen
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
Before each use, remove any buildup of grass, dirt, or other
debris from the engine screen. This helps ensure adequate
cooling, correct engine speed, and reduces the possibility of
overheating and mechanical damage to the engine.
Cleaning the Engine-Cooling
Fins and Shrouds
Service Interval: Every 150 hours/Yearly (whichever comes

parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3. Remove the right shroud by removing the top mounting
screw and loosening the 2 side screws

screws on the left shroud.
5. Pull up and remove the left shroud, feeding it out
around the fuel pump and bracket.
6. Remove the 2 screws on the left and right sides in the
cooling-fan housing
