Checking/Adjusting the Rear
Wheel Toe-in
Service Interval: Every 800 hours
1. Measure the center-to-center distance (at axle height)
at front and rear of the steering tires (Figure 35). The
front measurement must be 1/8 inch (3 mm) less
than the rear measurement.

2. Loosen the clamps at both ends of the tie rods
(Figure 36).

3. Rotate each tie rod to move the front of the tire
inward or outward.
4. Tighten the tie rod clamps when the adjustment is
correct.
Note: Ensure that the tie rod clamps are positioned
so they do not interfere with the steering linkage.

Checking the Planetary Gear
Drive Oil Level
Service Interval: After the first 50 hours
Every 800 hours
The oil capacity is approximately 30 oz (885 ml) of high
quality SAE 80–90 weight Gear Lube (ISO 150/220).
1. Park the machine on a level surface with the
check/drain plug hole (Figure 37) at the 3 o'clock or
9 o'clock position.
1. Check/drain plug
2. Remove the check/drain plug. The oil level should
be at the bottom of the hole; if not, add oil.
3. Replace the check/drain plug.
