You can find a manual for the Honda Gold Wing 1800 radio, including intercom troubleshooting, by purchasing a shop manual. One user suggested ordering it from eBay. The shop manual provides details on maintenance, component locations, and troubleshooting procedures.

The Honda GL1800 engine may surge at idle due to improper synchronization between the Idle Air Control Valve (IAVC) and the throttle body. Other possible causes include incorrect idle screw settings, faulty oxygen sensors (O2 sensors), or an idle speed set too low (e.g., below 600 rpm). The surging may stop if the idle is adjusted to around 800 rpm.
