4.Ifthebattery pack d oes not c harge p roperly:
a.Check o peration ofreceptacle byplugging ina lamp orother
appliance;
b.Check t osee ifreceptacle isconnected toa light switch w hich
turns power off w hen y outurn outthe lights;
c.Move thecharger andbattery p ack to a location where t he
surrounding airtemperature is approximately 65 °F-75°F
(18°-24 ° C);
d.Ifcharging problems persist, take thetool, b attery p ack and
charger toyour l ocal service center.
5.The battery p ack should berecharged when it fails toproduce
sufficient power onjobswhich were easily d one previously. DO
NOT CONTINUE to useunder t hese conditions. Follow the
charging procedure. You may also charge a partially used pack
whenever you desire w ith noadverse effect onthebattery pack.
6.Foreign materials ofa conductive nature s uch as,butnotlimited
to,grinding dust, m etal chips, s teel wool, a luminum foil, o rany
buildup o fmetallic particles should b ekept a way f rom charger
cavities. Always unplug t he charger from thepower supply w hen
there isnobattery pack inthe cavity. Unplug the charger before
attempting toclean.
7.Donot f reeze orimmerse the charger inwater orany other liquid.

WARNING: Shock hazard. Don't allow any liquid to get inside the
charger. Electric shock may result.
i_,WARNING: Bum hazard. Do not submerge the battery pack in any
liquid or allow any liquid to enter the battery pack. Never attempt to
open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of the
battery pack breaks or cracks, return to a service center for recycling.
Storage Recommendations
1. The best storage place is one that is cool and dry, away from
direct sunlight and excess heat or cold.
2. For long storage, it is recommended to store a fully charged
battery pack in a cool dry place out of the charger for optimal
results.
NOTE" Battery packs should not be stored completely depleted of
charge. The battery pack will need to be recharged before use.
