11 Clone Mode
11.1 Overview
This mode is used for copying the tranceiver's
programming to another transceiver without using a
PC.
11.2 Function Description
You must connect two transceivers using the Clone
Cable when cloning the programming information.
One transceiver must be the Clone Master while the
other is the Clone Slave. The Clone Master enters
Clone Mode and the Clone Slave enters normal
operation.
11.2.1 Preparing for Cloning
Connect the Clone Master to the Clone Slave using
the Clone Cable. The Clone Slave enters normal
operation. Press the [CH DOWN] key on the Clone
Master while turning it ON to enter the Clone Mode.
"CLONE" appears on the display of the Clone Master.
11.2.2 Starting the Cloning Process
Press the [MON] key on the Clone Master to transmit
the programming data. "-PC- " appears on the display
of the Clone Slave and it starts receiving the data.
"End" appears on the display of the Clone Master
when transmission ends The Clone Slave transceiver
automatically activates with the new data. "ERROR"
appears when the cloning process fails.
11.2.3 Cloning Additional
Transceivers
"END" appears when the transceiver ends cloning.
Press the [MON] key on the Clone Master transceiver
to enter the Clone Mode again. Press the [MON] key
again to transmit data. Repeat this operation to clone
the configuration data to several transceivers.
11.2.4 Data Password
"CLN LOCK" appears when the transceiver enters
Clone Mode and a Data Password has been
programmed. In this case, you cannot use the
transceiver as the Clone Master until it is unlocked.
Enter the Data Password while "CLN LOCK" is
displayed to unlock the transceiver. Press the [CH
DOWN] key to confirm the Data Password. You can
use the transceiver as the Clone Master when it is
unlocked.
Note: You cannot enter the Clone Mode when the Clone
Mode is disabled.
Note: The Clone Slave cannot receive the programming data
when the Data Password is programmed in the
transceiver.
Note: You cannot copy the programming data when the
model name and specification of the Clone Master and
the Clone Slave are different.
