3 Optional Features

3.2.13 PTT ID Type

This function allows you to select the PTT ID type as
DTMF or MSK.
The codes are programmed at BOT/EOT when
selecting DTMF.
The ID is transmitted using FleetSync format when
selecting MSK.

3.2.14 BOT/EOT

This function allows you to program the DTMF codes
when the PTT ID Type is DTMF.
You can program up to 16 characters.

3.2.15 LCD Brightness

This function allows you to adjust the brightness of
the display.
You can adjust the brightness using a key
assignment programmed as Brightness.

3.2.16 Trunking Group Number

You can install the SmarTrunk or ST865KW4 into the
TK-7100H/8100H.
SmarTrunk trunking system is owned by SmarTrunk
System Incorporated.
SmarTrunk supports several systems by changing
Banks. You can program Bank 1 (Group 1) for area A
and Bank 2 for area B.
You can program each System as a Trunking Group.
When accessing two systems, two Trunking Groups
are programmed. In this case, Group 1 and Group 2
are the groups for SmarTrunk. Groups other than
Group 1 and Group 2 work as Conventional Groups
even if the SmarTrunk board is installed.
You cannot program Trunking Groups unless you
select "Edit > Function Port > External Devices >
SmarTrunk".

3.2.17 Mode

This function allows you to select whether or not to
use the Firmware Version Information and modes
(Clone Mode and Self Programming).
You can select the mode via the FPU.
We recommend that you disable these modes (Clone
Mode and Self Programming Mode) to maintain the
transceiver's performance, and to prevent reception
of unwanted calls and unexpected interference.
Clone Mode
This mode is used for copying the configuration
data to another transceiver.
The transceiver enters the Clone Mode when
turning it ON by pressing the [CH DOWN] key.
You must enter the Password when the
transceiver enters the Clone Mode when the Data
Password has been programmed.
Self Programming
This mode is used for configuring functions for the
transceiver's operation.
The transceiver enters the Self Programming
Mode when turning it ON by pressing the [MON]
key.
Firmware Version Information
This mode is used for viewing the transceiver's
Firmware version.
The transceiver enters the Firmware Version
Information Mode when turning it ON while
pressing the [ ] key.
