4.2.13 Operator Selectable Tone

This function allows you to change the
Decode/Encode combination of the QT/DQT
Signalling without changing the transmit/receive
frequencies.
This is used when there are several Talk Groups
using QT/DQT codes on the same frequency.
Press the [OST] key to activate this function, then
press the [CH UP] and [CH DOWN] keys to select the
new Decode/Encode combination. The transceiver
communicates using the newly selected
Decode/Encode combination.
Press the [OST] key again to exit this function.
Refer to section "9 OST (Operator Selectable Tone)"
for details.

4.2.14 Channel Direct

This function allows you to jump to the programmed
Group/Channel with a single operation.
You can use this function to move to a frequently
used Group/Channel when you are on a different
Group/Channel.
Press and hold the [Channel Direct] key for more than
2 seconds to program the selected Group/Channel.
The minimum Group/ minimum Channel is the default
when writing data to the transceiver.
The PF keys have memories for this function. When
configuring Channel Direct to the [ ] and [ ] key,
press the [ ] key to go to Group 1 – Channel 1 or the
[ ] key to go to Group 2 – Channel 2.

4.2.15 Trunking Group Select

This function allows you to switch the Group Code of
the SmarTrunk Board (ST865KW4).
Press the [Trunking Group Select] key to increase the
Group Code.

4.2.16 LCD Brightness

This function allows you to adjust the brightness of
the display.
The brightness toggles between High and Low every
time the [LCD Brightness] key is pressed.

4.2.17 Scrambler

You can use this function when a Voice Scrambler is
installed.
The operation of the TK-7100H/8100H has been
confirmed using the Transcrypt SC20-460 scrambler
board.
The Scrambler (Output) logic toggles between High
and Low each time the [Scrambler] key is pressed.
When the Scrambler logic is low, the AUX icon
appears.
Connect the input terminal of the Scrambler board to
the Scrambler terminal of the Function Port. By doing
this, you can activate/ deactivate this function by
pressing the [Scrambler] key.
Press and hold the [Scrambler] key for more than 2
seconds to display the Scrambler code number. (Ex.
"CODE 1")
Press the [CH UP] and [CH DOWN] keys to select a
code from 1 to 16.
The selected code is output in Hexadecimal from the
terminal assigned to Scrambler Code 1 (Output) ~
Scrambler Code 4 (Output).
