Never use it for other purposes or for other manufacturer’s batteries. • When you charge a new battery cartridge or a battery cartridge which has not been used for a long period of time, it may not accept a full charge.
  • Page 11 • Check the sound of cooling fan, vent on the charger and battery, which can be sometime clogged with dust. • The cooling system is in order although no sound of cooling fan comes out, if the yellow warning light will not flash.

    Do not remove spring holding blade guard. If guard becomes discolored through age or UV light exposure, con- tact a Makita service center for a new guard. DO NOT DEFEAT OR REMOVE GUARD.

Failure to do so may result in insufficient securing of the workpiece. This could cause the workpiece to be thrown, cause damage to the blade or cause the loss of control, which can result in PERSONAL INJURY.
