Reliable ground. This product requires that a reliable ground be maintained at all times.
To ensure this, ground the rack itself. Pay particular attention to power supply
connections other than the direct connections to the branch circuit (for example, the use
of power strips).
Setup location. This product is intended for installation in a restricted access location
(dedicated equipment rooms, service closets, and the like) only.
Clearance. Leave enough clearance in front of the rack (about 25 inches) to enable you
to open the front door completely and in the back of the rack (about 30 inches) to allow for
sufficient airflow and ease in servicing.
Install Optional NICs
The ReadyDATA 5200 comes with two 1 GbE NICs and one 10 GbE SFP+ NIC installed on
the motherboard, so it can connect to your LAN or the Internet without optional additional
NICs.
If you purchased one or more 1 GbE or 10 GbE NICs (the ReadyDATA supports up to two
additional NICs), follow these steps to install them before you rack-mount your 5200.
To install optional NICs:
1.
Ensure that the 5200 is powered down.
2.
Remove the cover from your 5200.
3.
If you are installing one NIC, use the J5 PCI Express slot.
4.
If you are installing a second NIC, use the J8 PCI Express slot.
5.
Replace the cover.
