Recording Settings

Changing the Recording mode (Selecting a sound quality)

The recorder enables you to record audio in MP3 or PCM (WAV) format. In PCM mode, non-
compressed audio data will be recorded. In MP3 mode, compressed audio data will be recorded.
With the better sound quality, the data size will be larger and available recording time will be
shorter.

Changing Recording mode

1.
Press the [MENU/FOLDER] button while the main screen is displayed, press the
[PLAY]/[STOP] buttons to select [REC MENU], then press the [REC] button.
2.
Press the [PLAY]/[STOP] buttons to select [REC MODE], then
press the [REC] button.
3.
Press the [PLAY]/[STOP] , [
format from [PCM 24bit],[PCM 16bit],[MP3], then press the [REC] button.
4.
Press the [PLAY]/[STOP] buttons to select the desired frequency
or bit rate, then press the [REC] button.
5.
Press the [MENU/FOLDER] button twice.
The recorder displays the main screen.
