To turn off the display
Press INFO or RETURN.
z Hint
The i Plate display will turn off after 60 seconds if no
button is pressed. You can change the display duration in
"i Plate timeout" of "Settings" setup (page 39).
Watching a programme with a
digital text service
Many digital TV channels broadcast information
via their text service. This recorder has access to
dedicated text channels transmitted by the
broadcasters.

The appearance, content, and navigation methods of all
digital text services are decided by the broadcaster.

Select a dedicated channel broadcasting
digital text.

Press TELETEXT.
The digital teletext display appears.

Follow the on-screen instructions to obtain
your required selection.
On some pages the TV programme may also
be displayed on the text screen. On-screen
instructions will inform you how to change
the displayed programme.
To turn off the text page display
Press TELETEXT again.

Pausing a TV broadcast (TV Pause)

You can pause a current TV broadcast, and then
continue watching the programme at a later time.
This is useful when you receive an unexpected
phone call or visitor while watching TV.

While watching a TV programme by way of
this recorder, press X.
The picture pauses. If there is enough space on
the HDD, you can pause the picture for up to
three hours.

To reverse or forward the picture, press
, ./>, or
/
(see page 34).

Press H or X again to resume watching
the paused programme.
