    NOTES ON LOCATING Place the Fusion Streamer unit on a level surface. Do not use it on a shaky or unstable surface such as a wobbling table or inclined stand. When you place this Fusion Streamer unit next to a TV, radio, or VCR, the playback picture may become poor and the sound may be...

    If the Fusion Streamer unit is used in such a situation, it may damage discs and internal parts. Remove any CD discs, connect the power cord of the Fusion Streamer unit to the wall outlet, turn on the Fusion Streamer unit, and leave it for two to three hours. After two to three hours, the Fusion Streamer unit will have warmed up and evaporated any moisture.

    The Honeywell® Fusion Streamer comes with selected software and cables. Identify the following components to make sure everything has been properly included with your new Fusion Streamer unit. If any of the following items are missing, contact your dealer to arrange a replacement.

    CONNECTING SENSORS Each Fusion Streamer unit has 4 Sensor inputs. These inputs can be used with devices such as Infrared devices, glass breakage alarms, door and window trips, and many more. The Sensors can be set to Normally Open or Normally Closed inside the software.

    CONNECTING AUDIO Each Fusion Streamer unit has six audio channels. Audio channels one through 4 and AUX can be utilized as audio inputs, while the audio out can be utilized as an output. Recording devices and audio output devices such as computer speakers, can be connected to the Streamer unit to allow for 2-way communication, audio recording upon alarm events and auxiliary recording devices.

    SETTING THE TIME AND DATE Computers connecting to the Fusion Streamer rely on the time and date inside windows to display the proper time and to correctly time stamp recorded video (using Fusion Streamer Remote Software). It is imperative that the correct time and date are set within the Windows operating system to accurately time stamp video.

    VIDEO STREAMER FINDER SOFTWARE The Video Server Finder Software allows for quick and easy searching of Fusion Streamer units that can be connected to. Before Connecting to the Honeywell Fusion Streamer for the first time, it is recommended that you run the Video Server Finder Software to acquire the correct IP address of the Fusion Streamer.

    RESETTING THE VIDEO SERVER On the front of the Fusion Streamer you can see a small hole to the left of the power LED. This button can be used to return the Fusion Streamer to Factory settings (including the IP Address).

    Power the Fusion Streamer off and then back on. Follow the instructions in Section 4.1 for connecting for the 1st time. CAUTION: Any remote computers recording or receiving video data from the Fusion Streamer will lose their connection when the unit is shut down.

    INTERFACE MAIN SCREEN Each time the Fusion Streamer is restarted, the program defaults to the Display screen. The following diagram outlines the buttons and features used on the Display screen. You should become familiar with these options as this is the screen that will be displayed the majority of the time.

    PAN / TILT / ZOOM Clicking the PAN/TILT button in the Main Screen opens the Pan / Tilt / Zoom Control Window. Using this window you can control the PTZ functions of cameras connected to the Fusion Streamer that support PTZ functionality. Pan/Tilt Controls Controls the Pan/Tilt functions of the selected camera.

    WEB BASED SETUP SETUP OVERVIEW Fusion Streamer Setup allows you to adjust settings for camera names, sensors, relays, PTZ settings, audio, frame rate, network settings, and video server information. It is important that these settings be adjusted correctly for your Fusion Streamer to run properly and reliably.

    CAMERA SENSOR Camera Sensor Setup allows you to configure basic cameras and sensors/relays on the Fusion Streamer. Select Camera Selects the camera you wish to adjust settings for. Camera Name Allows you to label cameras. Color Adjust Adjust the Brightness, Hue, and Contrast of each camera or reset all cameras to default.

    Provides on screen control of a PTZ camera using the mouse. Pan/Tilt Type Selects the protocol to use for the selected camera. The protocol is the unique set of instructions that allows the Fusion Streamer to communicate with the PTZ camera. 6–3...
  • Page 38: Set Frame Rate

    Set Frame Rate allows you to configure the frame rate and resolutions of video transmitted from the Fusion Streamer. The Fusion Streamer supports a global frame rate of: 120 PPS at the lowest resolution, 30 PPS at the highest resolution. Frame rates can be independently varied per camera while resolution must be set consistently across all four channels.

    VIDEO SERVER INFORMATION The Fusion Streamer Information Menu is used to update the Fusion Streamer’s firmware, configure e-mail notification, and enable/disable spot monitor and 2-way audio functions. Fusion Streamer Allows user to update the Fusion Streamer firmware from a connected PC Upgrade (See section 4.8)

    USER MANAGEMENT To ensure that your Fusion Streamer remains secure and only authorized users are allowed access the streamer. Create unique user accounts so only users with the proper user name and password are allowed access. You can find user management in the setup menu under the VS Site Information tab.

    NETWORK Use the Network Menu to configure IP Settings and IP Filtering for the Fusion Streamer. IP Configuration Make changes to the IP Settings of the Fusion Streamer. Changes will not take effect until the Fusion Streamer is rebooted. To reboot the Streamer unit, click on VS Site Information and click the reboot button.

    ALTERNATIVE HTML SETUP If your system does not support ActiveX or you are unable to connect to the Fusion Streamer due to errors in loading the page, an alternate non ActiveX method is available. To connect to the Alternate HTML Setup Menu use the default IP address of http://192.168.1.123/setup.html or the new user defined IP address as such http://USER DEFINED IP/setup.html.

    Configure IP and DNS Settings from this menu. Click Apply and then Server Reset in the left hand menu in order to finalize the new settings. The new IP Address will be required to connect to the Fusion Streamer after this has taken place. If an error was made and you are unable to reconnect to the server a reset to system defaults will allow you to connect to the Fusion Streamer using the default IP.

    7.2.1 SITE INFORMATION SETUP MENU The Site Information Setup Menu is where connection information for a Fusion Streamer is entered and storage locations are set up for recording video to a PC. Connection Enter the connection information for the Fusion Streamer you wish to connect to. The Information Video Serer Name will be displayed in the Sites List in the Main Menu.

    7.2.2 STORAGE CREATION MENU The Storage Creation menu allows users to set storage volumes for the Fusion Streamer Remote Software to record video to a PC. New Space Enter the amount of space to be used for video storage. This number cannot exceed the available storage amount available.

Frame Rate Display Graphically displays the Frames Per Second (FPS) of each camera used / available. Camera Settings Display Indicates input (camera) number, frames per second, compression quality, and current capture resolution.

    SCHEDULE MENU With the addition of recording capabilities in the Fusion Streamer Remote Software the Schedule menu allows the creation of recording schedules for connected cameras. Note: Storage allocation must be created before local Fusion Streamer Remote recording will occur.

    SENSOR MENU The Sensor Menu controls all configuration options for sensor inputs and relay outputs. Sensor Enables Sensors and adjusts settings for Type, Recording Duration, Recording Delay, Output Relay, and Sensor Alarm Duration. Note: Type button NO = normally open, NC = normally closed Sensor Connection Sets Camera/Sensor relationships to trigger sensors when motion is detected on the corresponding cameras.

    AUDIO MENU The Fusion Streamer Audio Menu allows users to adjust settings for audio input, what camera channels will have audio recording, 2-way audio, and be able to specify a channel for a live audio feed. Audio Input Mode Allows users to specify Line-In Mode or Mic. Mode for selected audio channels.
