The symbol initially displayed for remote indicates the following meanings.
Blank space: reject. The request did not reach or the server was not referenced
because the distance was excessive (the round trip transmission time to the server
took 16 seconds or more).
x: falsetick. The time acquired from all other remote servers registered with the
MMB was compared with two or more remote servers and found not
synchronized (the time deviates by a greater degree than the jitter value which
is the allowable range of deviation.) This server was therefore removed from the
reference list due to excessive deviation. If all times are not synchronized,
falsetick is not detected.
-: outlyer. This server was not referenced because the jitter value of this remote
server was greater than the currently synchronized remote offset.
+: candidate. Synchronization possible at any time.
#: selected. Although synchronization is possible, this was removed as a
candidate because the distance was excessive (the round trip transmission time
to the server took 1 second or more).
*: sys.peer. Currently synchronized.
Host name that is referenced as NTP Server (Server that provides its internal
clock to another computer via the ntp protocol) ("LOCAL" indicates the MMB).
Shows from where the remote server synchronizes time. When this is unclear, it
is 0.0.0.0.
Number that displays the server layer. Generally, the greater this number
becomes, the less reliable the time is.
Remote server type
l: Local server. It acquires the MMB internal clock (This type applies only to the
server that has the value "LOCAL" for "remote").
u: Unicast server. The MMB requests time from the remote server. The unicast
server acquires the time sent.
The time that elapses after the packet is lastly received from the remote server
(Unit: seconds).
