    Fuse Installation Your scooter comes with a 20amp fuse located inside the tool kit pouch. Locate the fuse and insert it into the fuse holder located on the left side of the bike, under the foot plate. Seat and Seat Post Installation Insert the seat post into the bottom of the seat and tighten securely.

    3. Push the on/off switch (located on the left handlebar) to the ON position. 4. Put one foot on the deck of the X-250 while pushing off with the other foot, gently rotate the THROTTLE GRIP, on the right side of the handlebars. The X-250 will begin to move on its own power.

    (Fig. 8) TIRE AND WHEELS The X-Treme X-250 DOES NOT use an identical rim and tire assembly on the front and rear wheels. The wheels are two wheel halves (split rim) bolted together to make it easier to remove and replace the tire and tube. Tires can easily be rotated between front and back wheels.

    How To Install/Replace Fuse 1) Locate the Fuse Holder inside the battery compartment under the foot board on the inside. 2) Turn scooter off at the switch on the left handlebar. 3)) Remove the Seat Post. 4) Remove screws from foot board and remove to expose batteries and controller. 5) Attached to the Battery there are Black and Red wires.

    9) These bolts also controls wheel alignment, be sure to center the wheel in the center of frame. 10) After you have adjusted your belt and aligned your wheel tighten the axle nuts. How To Change Charger Socket 1) With foot deck removed access the battery connection and disconnect. Follow the Red and Black wires from the outside post of the batteries to the connector.

    * In most cases if the scooter runs a shorter distance the batteries may be beyond their life cycle. How To Check Charger Output Tools Needed – Multi-meter set to DC voltage 1) Determine the total DC voltage output of your scooter and set the multi-meter Above that amount.

    6) You now have a plug marked brake with yellow and black wires this is where your last plug goes. The last plug is for a brake signal which is not an option on the X-250. How To Replace Brake Cable 1) Loosen the Pinch Nut on your brake hub to slide the Brake Cable out.

    Belt as needed. How To Test Batteries & Charger Your X-250 is a 24 volt system. Check the battery wires, fuse holder wires, and the charger socket wires, underneath the deck plate. Give each wire at the connection a firm but gentle tug pulling away from the connection.

    Charger voltmeter test: Plug the charger into a wall socket, but do not plug it into the scooter. If your charger has three holes, place the probes into the holes to the left and right of the indented key. At the end of your charger port, the port that plugs into your scooter, you will notice a indented "key".

    When suspected you can very briefly arc across the battery terminals with a insulated wire to see if it produces a nice arc. . It is also possible to test some individual battery 12 volt cells using 12 volt motors or lights that will show you the available current capability. Is the 12 volt light dim on a charged battery? Does the 12 volt motor run slowly when connected to the cell? Similar type tests can be performed using a 24 volt battery cell, too.

    F) Wires behind fuse assembly have come off due to improper replacement of fuses or loose wire connections to the battery. This is always due to the customer rotating the whole fuse assembly (when changing fuses) and twisting the 2 wires that are in the back of the fuse holder.

    Troubleshooting: Is It My Throttle Or Controller? (These tests require a digital VOM) Most E-scooter throttles use 'Hall-effect' devices, not potentiometers (rheostats). A Hall-effect device is a chip that responds to a movable magnet. If you have a digital VOM (I would not use an analog resistance meter of any kind, as it could damage the chip if it's a Hall-effect chip), you can test whether it's a potentiometer or not.
