advances or retracts the barrel in the tailstock.
The graduated scale on the handwheel is
adjustable.

in place.
C C l l a a m m p p i i n n g g N N u u t t - - The clamping nut locks the tail-
stock in place on the lathe bed.

used for aligning the tailstock to the spindle. This
