8.0 General
8.1 Introduction
This specification describes the host interface of the Travelstar 7K100.
The interface conforms to the Working Document of Information Technology, AT Attachment with Packet Interface
Extension (ATA/ATAPI-6) Revision 3b, dated 26 February 2001, with certain limitations described in Section 9.0,
"Deviations from standard" on page 57.
The drive supports the following functions as Vendor Specific Functions:
• Address Offset Feature
• Format Unit Function
• SENSE CONDITION command
