During the welding, the work pieces will
become hot and will tend to expand. The
expansion
may cause the pieces to shift from

CLAMP
CONNECTION
The ground
clamp connection
is part of the
current
circuit. A poor connection
at the
ground
clamp will waste
power and heat.
Scrape
away dirt, rust, scale, oil or paint.
Make sure the ground
clamp touches
the
metal of the workpiece.
