D. CLEARING AN ORIGINAL DOCUMENT JAM
If the document does not feed during transmission or copying, or when the
operation stops and "DOCUMENT JAM" is displayed, the document may be
jammed. Press the START/COPY key first. If the document is not fed out, re-
move the document with the following procedure.
1. Pull the control compartment open knob
upward and open the control panel.
2. Pull out the jammed document.
3. Close the control panel by gently pushing
down on the right and left sides.
NOTE:
Since improper loading of the document may result in a document jam, take
care when loading documents.
