In this example, the customer site has 12 phones, 2 voice gateway and 6 external PSTN line
numbers, which are configured as follows:
• 2 phones with 1 private line assigned to each phone
(2 phones +2 line appearances = 4 device weights)
• 10 phones with no lines assigned
(10 phones + no line appearances = 10 device weights).
In this scenario, all 6 phone lines are forwarded to the Auto Attendant for call
distribution.
• 2 gateways with 3 phone lines assigned to each gateway
(2 gateways + 6 phone lines = 8 device weights).
The total system device weight for this configuration is 22, which is within the acceptable
range.
