• INTERLOCK 1&2 IN on the interlock connectors are connected to the operating coil of the internal relay in the controller.
Connect INTERLOCK 1&2 IN to INTERLOCK 1&2 COM. with the non-voltage contact (dry contact) such as a relay or a
switch. Do not connect with the voltage contact such as a transistor.
• When constructing a system compatible to ISO 11553-1/ISO 13849-1, design the system for shutting off the laser power
with the following control in accordance with the standards.
• Redundant interlock system by using both INTERLOCK 1 and INTERLOCK 2 connected to safety PLC or safety
relay unit
• Redundant monitoring system by using both SHUTTER CLOSE 1 OUT and SHUTTER CLOSE 2 OUT connected to
safety PLC or safety relay unit

Construct a control system which will separate (cut off) the laser beams or
shut off the laser power when it is open.
Construct a control system for shutting off the laser power source when it
is opened.
Connect both INTERLOCK 1 and INTERLOCK 2 or both SHUTTER
CLOSE 1 OUT and SHUTTER CLOSE 2 OUT terminals to the devices
to
using the relay output terminal of the safety relay unit or the safety
i
PLC.
Besides INTERLOCK connectors, it can also be connected to other I/O
signals such as LASER STOP terminals with the devices
on the control specifications.
For indication of the status of the laser welding machine, connect each
output signal such as ALARM OUT, LASER SUPPLY OUT or LASING
OUT to the warning light.
Put the suction port of the dust collector near the lasing position.
