9 PRECAUTIONS FOR FILTER By means of setting the attached filter to the water inlet on the rear side of the welding machine, you can prevent the inside of the water flow switch and the water conduit of torch from accumulating dust or fur. Please fix the filter in the following way.
  • Page 25 For non-freezing fluid, always use glycols. If this antifreeze mixing ratio is increased, cooling water viscosity becomes higher, this making it hard to let cooling water flow, and the flow rate switch may become inoperative. therefore, it is recommended that this antifreeze mixing ratio should not exceed 20%. Maintenance for flow rate switch: If the flow rate switch is used over long periods of time, fur and rust stick to the flow rate switch shaft and float, whereby may cease to operate;...

16 CHARACTERISTICS OF INDIVIDUAL WELDING METHODS 16.1 A.C.HARD TIG <Output waveform> <Features> Output current forms pulse superposed waveform. High heat input generates convergent arc, therefore, this method is suitable for fillet welding and butt welding of works having wide root gap. Set values on individual current adjustors and the output currents do not match.
  • Page 36: Mix Tig

16.3 MIX TIG <Output waveform> <Features> 1. It alternately outputs AC and DC. The arc generates high-tone sound in DC period and low-tone sound in AC period. Insert the filler wire during the AC period for better work ability. Set the frequency at to 2 Hz, then it is easy to find timing to insert the filler wire. Output current also varies with MIX TIG frequency.
  • Page 37: D.c.tig

16.5 D.C.TIG This method is well used as TIG welding which is applied for most metals except aluminum. <Output waveform> <Features> CD It outputs stable direct current in the range from low-to high-current. <LOW(low pulse) waveform> <Features> CD Suitable for welding of works having significantly different heat capacity, such as thick and thin plates, or for welding which requires ripple of reverse sidebead.
