Fixing Temperature Mode Switch

Depending on the paper, adjusting the temperature of the fixing unit
may be required. This process takes a long time and may result in a
slight decrease of the machine's productivity. You can prevent this
problem by setting the Fixing Temperature Mode Switch to
[Productivity Priority].

➞ [System Settings] ➞ [Device Management
Press
Settings] ➞ [Fixing Temperature Mode Switch].

Select [Productivity Priority] or [Image Priority].
Details of each item are shown below.
[Productivity Priority]:
This mode is the default setting that gives priority to
the productivity of the machine. However, the
glossiness of output prints may slightly change.
[Image Priority]:
This mode gives priority to the image quality. When
this mode is set, the productivity of the machine may
slightly decrease.

Enter values for <Frequently Used Min. Basis Weight> and
<Frequently Used Max. Basis Weight>.
If you select [Productivity Priority] for the Fixing Temperature Mode
Switch, you may be able to obtain a better result if you set up the
value for <Frequently Used Max. Basis Weight> as follows.

• Not using coated paper thinner than 128 g/m
• Using paper heavier than 257 g/m
