Press VIDEO to operate the VCR.

Insert a tape with its safety tab in place.

PressCH+/- or INPUT SELECT r epeatedly
to selectthechannel o r inputsource you
wantto record.
Press RECMODE repeatedlyto select the
recordingmode, "SP" or "EP."
For details about the recording mode, see
page 73.
Press • REg.
"REC' appears in the front panel display, and
recording starts.
To stop recording
Press • STOP.
Topauserecording
Press II PAUSE.
To restart recording, press II PAUSE again.
If you pause recording for more than five minutes.
recording stops automatically.
Towatch anotherTV program while recording

Slide the TV/DVD.VIDEO switch to TV.

Press TV/V1DEO to set the TV to the TV
input.
3 Select another channel on the TV.
Towatch a DVDwhile recording
Press DVD Io operate the DVD recorder, insert a
disc, and press I:::>PLAY.

• To select a channel, you can use the numher buttons.
Enter the channel number, and press SET.
• You can select a video source from the LINE 1 IN or
LINE 2 IN jacks using the INPUT SELECT button.
• Tape inlbrmation displayed on the TV screen will not
be recorded on the tape.
• You can turn off the TV during recording. If you arc
using a cahle box or a satellite receiver, make sure to
leave it on.
• You cannot change the recording mode, channel, or
inlxlt source while recording.
• If vou insert a tape wilh ils salLqv tab relnoved the lape
is ejected when you press • REC.
