If the port is configured for synchronous data operation, the actual data com¬
munication rate will depend on the secure operating mode of the terminal.
Secure Retry -When this option is enabled (SECURE RETRY ON), your
SECTEL 1500 will automatically retry going secure up to three times at
2400 bps, after failing asecure attempt at ahigher rate. Motorola suggests
that you enable this option for "Good" to "Moderate" telephone lines, and
disable (SECURE RETRY OFF) where the line quality is "Poor" or call
setup time is unacceptably long.
SACS Options -Secure Access Control System is independent of all other
SECTEL 1500 operational modes. The use of the SACS options requires
that aMaster CIK be created when the keyset is loaded into the terminal.

Use the following procedure, while the terminal is on-hook, to enable /dis
able or change the options.
Press IPRGMI. IscrollI and then [*], and the terminal will display:

to remind you to press IscrollI to advance to the next option. (Table 3-3
shows the available options and what you should do to change the settings.)
If your SECTEL 1500 is connected to MFAX 5000T, the terminal will
display:
