Invalid Device Code
No device with the given address is connected to the subsystem..
H the device is
connected but does not have power on, the status will be Attention Device Offline or a
controller-only cormnand (Bootload, Control Store, or ITR Boot) was received with a non-
zero device code.
Parity Alert on
mcw
A parity error was detected by the LA on the
mcw.
Invalid Instruction Sequence
This condition occurs when the subsystem. receives a data transfer instruction without
a prior valid seek-type instruction on the saIne logical channel.
Restore and Preseek are
not valid instructions for data transfer.
MPC
DEVICE ATTENTION
MPC Device Attention status is an extension of the Attention status for all MPC con-
trollers.
It indicates an error condition that may require manual intervention.
Configuration Error
This error condition will occur if the functionality firmware loaded into a controller
does not agree with the configuration switches on the MPC operator panel.
Multiple Devices
The controller has detected at least two devices with the same identification number.
Device Number Error
At least one device has an identification nurn.ber outside the range of legal device
numbers for the subsystem.
CA
Error
The CA Operational In (OPI) line is down.
(The OPI line indicates the operational
state of the controller adapter. )
Alert EN-I
The CA detected an abnorInal condition during a data transfer.
It was not a transfer
timing or parity error.
