Remote Control Troubleshooting
1.
If any button is stuck over 30 seconds, the remote control will go into
sleeping mode until the button is pressed.
2.
If the remote control does not appear to be working, check the
following:
that the batteries are working
•
that you are pointing the remote control directly at the receiver.
•
•
that the IR sensor on the receiver is not covered up, and no
natural or artificial light is shining directly on it.
•
that the remote control is within 20 feet of the receiver.
that you have not minimized or exited Media Center. To
•
reactivate Media Center, move the mouse and then click
anywhere in the Media Center window

If the LED doesn't flash, or flashes continuously, remove the batteries
from the remote control and reinstall.
