Perform the steps on both
sides in parallel.
Disassembling the chain:
1. Disassemble the outer
protective case halves.
2. Fix the chain tensioner
3. Open the chain with the

disassembly tool ).

) Disassembly tool:
– For fl at top chain:
3 842 010 510
– For accumulation roller
chain: 3 842 010 511
4. Remove the drive and
return head covers.
5. Pull the chain back
until the drive head
is exposed.
6. Remove the sliding piece.
7. Remove the drive train.
8. Pull the used chain down
from the AS 2/....
9. Remove the sliding piece
from the return head.
