Adding Hard Disk Drives
This section describes how to connect additional Hard Disk Drives.

If connecting a SATA Hard Disk Drive or solid state drive to an onboard SATA controller
When adding SATA hard disks or solid state drives, connect the cables as in the following figure. Install the
Hard Disk Drives in order from the bottom.

SATA cable (for even-numbered ports)
SATA cable (for odd-numbered ports)
If connecting two or more SATA disks or solid state drives, you can use the controller on the motherboard
to build a RAID System. For more information on the RAID level you can build and then method for building
RAID Systems, see Chapter 2 (4. RAID System Configuration) in "Maintenance Guide".
Tips
The figure shown here primarily describes connections. For more information
about the connectors on the motherboard, refer to Chapter 1 (5.4 Motherboard).
