3. Mount dust collecting wheel guard with the pro-
trusions on the dust collecting wheel guard aligned with
the notches on the bearing box. Turn in the guard to
desired angle and tighten attaching screw to secure.
To plane corners, remove front-edge cover by sliding in
the directions of the arrows as shown in the diagram.
To re-attach, align front-edge cover arrow with main
cover arrow, and then slide front-edge cover across.

Worn brushes can be replaced manually by pulling
them off, and then inserting new brushes into retaining
grooves by pushing down from above. At this time,
ensure that brushes are fully hooked onto hooks on
outer edges of grooves.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before attempting to
perform inspection or maintenance.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
Air vent cleaning
The tool and its air vents have to be kept clean.
Regularly clean the tool's air vents or whenever the
vents start to become obstructed.

NOTE: Do not loosen the screw on the name
plate cover. Otherwise the cover may be opened
accidentally.
