Position leading edge of rip fence so it
extends across small extension table, as
shown in Figure 138, then retighten lock
lever.

Set rip fence to desired width of cut.

Load workpiece onto table saw. The setup
should look similar to Figure 131 on Page 67.

Take all necessary safety precautions, con-
nect saw to power, then perform cutting
operation.

Crosscutting

The Model G0853 can crosscut full-size pan-
els with the fence in the front or rear position,
although it is easier to load full-size panels with
the crosscut fence mounted in the front position
(see Figure 139).

Mounting the crosscut fence in the rear position
(see Figure 140) gives greater stability for cross-
cutting smaller panels.

The edge shoe (see Figure 140) is used to
stabilize the front end of the workpiece when
otherwise unsecured.
