Precaution
Take care not to damage the drum, tape guides, stationary heads during replacement.
Preparations
1. Confirm that the unit is in the unthreading end state.
2. Turn off the power.
3. Remove the front lid and outside panel.
(Refer to section 1-6 in Part 1 of the Maintenance Manual.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment.
(Refer to section 3-3-24.)

Stop washer is used for installation of pinch arm assembly. Do not reuse it. Install
the new one (3-559-408-11) when replacing the pinch arm assembly.

. FWD back-tension measurement cassette
. Stop washer insertion tool
. Cleaning cloth
. Cleaning fluid
. Torque screwdriver bit (for M1.4)
. Torque screwdriver (for 3 kg)
