SECTION 7: SERVICE

Review the troubleshooting procedures in this section if a problem develops with your machine. If you need
replacement parts or additional help with a procedure, call our Technical Support. Note: Please gather the
serial number and manufacture date of your machine before calling.

Troubleshooting

Possible Solution
1. Install switch disabling key.
2. Replace fuse/ensure no shorts.
3. Ensure correct power supply voltage and circuit size
(Page 12).
4. Ensure circuit is sized correctly and free of shorts.
Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
5. Fix broken wires or disconnected/corroded
connections.
6. Replace.
7. Replace.
8. Replace.
9. Replace motor.
1. Use correct material type (Page 22).
2. Use new grinding wheel; reduce feed rate.
3. Clean motor, let cool, and reduce workload.
4. Test/replace dial.
5. Inspect and replace if at fault.
6. Replace motor.
1. Replace damaged or missing bolts/nuts or tighten if
loose.
2. Dress (Page 27)/replace (Page 24) grinding wheel.
3. Adjust feet, shim, or tighten mounting hardware
(Page 17).
4. Test with dial indicator and replace motor.
5. Test by rotating shaft; rotational grinding/loose shaft
requires bearing replacement.
