CAUTION
• Blown fuses must be replaced by technicians who are aware of the hazards
involved and the relevant requirements.
• Never connect up your battery charger when it has just been brought from a
cold place into a warm room. In some circumstances, the resulting
condensation of water can cause irreparable damage to the appliance. Leave
the appliance to warm up to the ambient temperature before connecting it up.
• The battery charger must not be used outdoors. Always recharge your lawn
mower battery in a clean, dry room.
• Metal or conductive jewellery, such as chains, bracelets and rings, must not be
worn when working on power supply units or battery chargers.
• Power supply units and battery chargers must not be applied to persons or
animals.
• Check there is sufficient cooling ventilation when using your appliance.
• The vents on the top of the housing must never be covered. Never stand the
appliance on a cloth or mat. The appliance must be set up on a hard surface
that is not easily flammable. The appliance is mainly cooled by convection (heat
flow).
• The battery charger must not be left unattended when in operation.
• When carrying out work in the energized state, it is mandatory to use a tool
specially designed for that purpose.
• If it is suspected that it may be hazardous to use the appliance, it must be
switched off and steps must be taken to prevent it being used unwittingly.
• This case arises in the following circumstances:
- if there is visible damage to the appliance,
- if the appliance no longer works,
- after long-term storage in unsatisfactory conditions,
- after carriage in unsatisfactory conditions.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the
manufacturer's after-sales service or by a similarly qualified party in order to
avoid any hazard.
• The connection data marked on the nameplate must be complied with when
using the battery charger.
• This appliance must be kept out of reach of children.
• The ambient temperature during charging must not exceed 40°C.
• Handle the battery charger with care. Protect it against impacts, dust, water and
damp (maximum relative humidity: 95%).
• Do not use this appliance in the rain.
• The guarantee on the battery charger shall be cancelled if any unauthorized
servicing is performed on it.
