AES using a High Gain Antenna (HGA), transceiver (Satellite Data
Unit)
(SDU), SDU Configuration Module (SCM) and High Power Amplifier
(HPA) function), and Diplexer Low Noise Amplifier (DLNA)
A 6F transceiver is defined as a transceiver unit capable of operating
within an AES6 system, which uses a DF diplexer and HGA. It includes
the SDU, HPA and the SCM, as shown in Figure 1-1 Block Diagram of
an AES6 and its Major components
AES using an Intermediate Gain Antenna (IGA), transceiver (SDU,
SCM and HPA function), and Diplexer Low Noise Amplifier (DLNA)
A 7F transceiver is defined as a transceiver unit capable of operating
within an AES7 system, which uses a DF diplexer and IGA. It includes
the SDU, HPA and the SCM, as shown in Figure 1-2 Block Diagram of
an AES7 and its Major System Components
