Failure to align spindle flats properly with
chuck jaws may result in spindle coming
loose and damaging notcher and drill chuck.

ceed to Step 6.

Notcher Spindle
Cleaning & Protecting
Cleaning the Model T28929 is relatively easy.
Periodically brush away cuttings and debris,
especially around the spindle and bushings to
avoid scoring and binding.
Protect the notcher by wiping it clean after
every use and applying a light lubrication (see
Lubrication) to moving parts.
Before moving or storing tool, insert lock pin into
spindle to prevent movement. Store notcher cov-
ered in a dry, dust free location.
Lubrication
During operation, the spindle bushings will require
lubrication. A few drops right before operation
will usually be adequate, but when using notcher
for long periods at a time, lubrication should be
applied several times per hour.
