A "Transmitting..." message appears in the display during the op-
eration. When the transmission is completed, the MU50 returns
to the Dump Out menu.
NOTE
If you have more than one MU50 connected in your MIDI system and wish to send different
sets of data to each, you can specify a different Device Number for each. (See page 40.) You
should set the Device Number on each MU50 you use, before
storage device. Then, when you reload the data to the connected MU50s, each unit will au-
tomatically receive only the data that has the corresponding Device Number.
To reload the data from the data recorder back to the MU50:
Make sure that the devices are properly connected (see the Restoring Data
illustrations above), and execute the appropriate data transfer operation
from the data recorder. (Refer to the owner's manual of that device for in-
structions.) The MU50 automatically receives incoming bulk data.

Initialize Functions

The Initialize functions allow you to restore the factory settings of the
MU50.
NOTE
Since the Initialize functions replace existing data, you should save any and all important
settings to a MIDI data storage device before using these functions. (See page 98.)
