Auto Idle Stop Activates When:
After the vehicle moves forward, stopping with the brake, the clutch pedal is fully
depressed, the shift lever is in

To restart the engine automatically, depress the clutch pedal.
Auto Idle Stop does not activate when:
• The driver's seat belt is not fastened.
• The engine coolant temperature is low or high.
• The vehicle comes to a stop again before the vehicle speed reaches 3 km/h (2
mph) after the engine starts.
• The shift lever is in any position except
• The engine is started with the bonnet open.

Turn off the engine. Close the bonnet before you restart the engine to activate
auto idle stop.
• The battery charge is low.
• The internal temperature of the battery is -10°C or less.
• The climate control system is in use, and you set the driver side temperature to the
lower or upper limit, Lo or Hi is displayed.
• The climate control system is in use, and the ambient temperature is -20°C or
lower, or 40°C or higher.
