5. Lift the CPU assembly up and away from the main sub-board to disconnect it from
connector P8. Remove the CPU board assembly.

Connector Board

Use the following procedure to remove the connector board from the system.
Remove the keyboard, front cover, top cover, LCD panel, Mini-PCI LAN/modem (if

present), audio board, and main board from the system.
Locate and remove the two screws securing the PC card assembly bracket. Remove the

bracket.
Locate and remove one screw securing the diskette drive bracket.

Disconnect the cable from connector P4 on the connector board.
