Note
If the primary and the subordinate IOMs are different models—Cisco UCS 2204, UCS 2208, or UCS
2304—the overall status of the IOMs is shown as Peer Comm Problem. However, the IOMs can still be
replaced.
Procedure
Step 1
Remove the configuration on the server ports that are connected to the Cisco UCS 2204 or UCS 2208 IOM
in the subordinate fabric interconnect.
Step 2
Remove the cables and replace the Cisco UCS 2204 or UCS 2208 IOM with the Cisco UCS 2304 IOM in the
chassis.
Step 3
Connect the 40-Gbps cables to the UCS 2304 IOM and the UCS 6332 Fabric Interconnect.
Step 4
Configure the ports as server ports.
Step 5
Wait for Auto Upgrade to complete in the IOM.

ports which are supported only by the Cisco UCS 2304 IOM.
Procedure
Step 1
Decommission the existing Cisco Nexus 2232PP FEX.
Step 2
Remove the cables and install the Cisco Nexus 2348UPQ FEX.
Step 3
