Chapter 7 Input/Output
Describes the I/O module input/output operations of the FL654.

7.1 Overview of Input/Output Operations

The FL654 occupies one continuous talker area and one continuous listener area in Area 1
or 2 of the FL-net cyclic transmission common memory. The talker and listener areas are
independent of each other. The FL654 cyclically outputs input module data to the talker
area and listener area data to the output modules.
The following figure shows an example of assigning both the talker and listener areas to
Area 2.
