Overview

Introduction
You can view both HMI alarms and SINUMERIK-specific alarms in the WinCC control "Alarm
view" in runtime:
● NC alarms
– To display NC alarms in the alarm view, you must configure the settings (Page 90).
– You can customize the displayed alarm texts directly on the configuration PC
● SINUMERIK DB2 alarms from the PLC (alarm numbers 500,000 to 799,999)
– You can import DB2 alarms from the NCU (Page 94).
● SIMATIC PLC alarms
– HMI alarms defined in WinCC are displayed in the alarm view in each case.

This section describes what you need to consider when configuring the SINUMERIK-specific
alarms / messages.
