iDCS 500
TECHNICAL MANUAL
• SIGNALING PORT: Indicate the port number for H.323 signaling and sets a
range of numbers allowed by firewall equipment. The IP path or port used is
10000. The formula to traverse firewalls is dependant on the number of VoIP
channels to be utilized. The formula is as follows:
Base signaling port (10000)+128+ 2*(voip channels –1)+1
With a base signaling port of 10000 and 8 VoIP channels, ports 10128 thru 10143
would need to be opened in the firewall to permit call signaling to pass through the
firewall. (IE 10128 +15 =10143).
• STATUS PORT: Port number for the exchange of status information between
ITM3 cards. The IP path or port used is 20000
• WCS PORT: Proprietary Samsung Web Call Service. The IP path or port used is
20010
• SIGK ACCESS PORT: Samsung Internet Gatekeeper. The IP path or port used
is 20020.
• MAKE DEFAULT DB: This option permits defaulting the ITM3 cvard program to
the default parameters. CAUTION! This option is SYSTEM WIDE and defaults
all ITM3 cards in the system!! Card must be RESTARTED to take affect.
• EARLY H245 MODE: At the time of Slow Start this specifies if callers will hear
ring back tone from the other party via the H.245 channel
• RING BACK TONE: This option enables ringback tone during different parts of
the call setup. This ringback tone is generated at the near end and not across
the network. The three options are disable, setup, and alert. Disable means
virtual ringback tone is disabled. Setup provides ringback tone during the call
setup and alert provides ringback tone while alerting the far end.
• Q931 NO ANS TIME: This is the time (in seconds) that the Q.931 alerting
message must be confirmed to determine if the call will be continued.
• ISP TYPE: This determines certain VoIP protocol prioritization with ISP's. The
selections are UNITEL, Russia and NORMAL. NORMAL is used in the USA.
• FACILITY TYPE: Two facility types are provided. Normal and No req. Normal is
used in the USA.
• RELAY RBT: Relay RBT determines if RBT is relayed from the called end point.
