Choose these icons to configure the hard disk drive named in the option. When
you click on an icon, the following parameters are listed:
• Type
• LBA/Large Mode
• Block Mode
• 32-Bit Mode
• PIO Mode
All parameters, except type, relate to IDE drives.
Configuring an MFM drive
If configuring an MFM hard disk drive, you must know the drive parameters
(number of heads, number of cylinders, number of sectors, the starting write
precompensation cylinder, and drive capacity). Choose Type and choose the
appropriate hard disk drive type (1 - 46). See Table 7-6 for a list of the old
MFM hard drive types. If the drive parameters of your MFM drive do not
match any drive type listed in Table 7-6, select User in the Type field and enter
the drive parameters that appear on the screen.
